I see the move for Arshavin as a moment where arsenal were genuinely worried about losing their top 4 spot, and Wenger needed a man to provide that cutting edge. Arshavin provided this edge, and for that, he deserves a lot of respect.

This season will decide whether he is a “great” player, or simply a player of troubled talent. There is no doubt he can offer an incisiveness that can break open any defense in the world. The key for him will be consistency.
