Porto are likely to play a conservative approach to the game as a win is not needed as much for the Portuguese side as it is for Arsenal. Expect them to play a five man midfield, with the wingers pushing forward. In the centre of midfield it will be tight as they will look to deny Arsenal space and they include three hard working central midfielders. Costa will play deepest while Lucho higher up. He will be the danger as he posseses a good passing range but also look Lisandro Lopez who is a tricky customer. Not the tallest team but as they are good on the floor may play to Arsenal’s strengths.
This could be a frustrating night for the Gunners as Porto will set their stall out and look to counter from the wings. Fernebahce got better as the game went on in the first match so Arsenal’s passing and movement will be key, as will the defensive cover form Denilson from the counter attack.
Key Man: Robin Van Persie- Did not deliver against Hull but will need to today. He has to link well from midfield to attack. Scored against them last season in what is a weaker Porto side.
Danger Man: Lisandro Lopez- All eyes will be on talisman Lucho Gonzalez but Lopez’s trickery and pace will cause danger. Has scored many goals for Porto and as the loan man will be asked to do an unselfish job linking with the midfield.
