Fenerbahce need nothing but a win and will have to go on the attack. With the loss of Mehmet Aurelio in the summer they lack that defensive shield and could be open to the counter should they commit too far forward. The Turkish side are coached by Euro 2008 winner Luis Aragones who likes his team to work hard and play passing football. Alex will be a danger as his delivery and passing ability is one of the best.
Semih will start with Guiza upfront, their partnership in the last league game effective. Semih will try and get at the Arsenal defence with his pace while Guiza will try and stay forward and link the play.
For Arsenal they will start with the same team that finished against Everton however Djourou and Bendtner this time are fit to be on the bench. The atmosphere for some of the youngsters will be like nothing they have ever experienced and will need to be at the top of their game to silence a very intimidating noise. With midifielders Song and Eboue playing in defence, The Gunners could feel slightly vulnerable especially if Walcott doesn’t track back Carlos.
Key Man: Cesc Fabregas- With such an important match as this it will be important for Fabregas to get the ball as much as possible and control the game. If he does, Arsenal should come away with something.
Danger Man: Semih Senturk- The Turk was a danger in the Euro’s when he came off the bench and is in form. The partnership with Guiza is starting to flourish and if they click will cause problems.
