Hull defeated Arsenal last time round playing a well organised 4-3-1-2 formation but recently been playing a more orthodox 4-4-1-1. The wonder is which system they will play this time round especially with new signings Manucho and Kilbane available, adding a new dimension. There is pace lacking in their central defence with Zayatte suspended while their previous cover McShane is recalled by parent club Sunderland.
Vela out wide
A lack of width and creativity has seen Arsenal grinding out late wins as Vela and Nasri addressed the issue by coming on and playing wide left and central midfield respectively. It is likely Hull will try and frustrate Arsenal by denying space in front of the back four, and counter with the pace of Mendy and King’s strength and presence. Vela is the option Wenger has to stretch the play, giving more options and the ability to take on the full backs.
Key Men: Robin Van Persie (Arsenal) and Micheal Turner (Hull City)
Prediction: Hull City 0-1 Arsenal
