Reserves: Arsenal 2-2 Stoke City

Jack Wilshere’s double, the first a fantastic strike with the outside of his boot ensured 10-man Gunners came away with a draw although Eduardo had a goal disallowed at the end. You can see limited highlights HERE.

Stoke scored the first, centre-back Ashley Page beating Mannone in the air. However five minutes later Wilshere equalised with a great goal. The ball fell to the youngster as Eduardo was tackled and brilliantly with the outside of his boot, curled past the keeper St Louis-Hamilton.

In the second half, Stoke once again took the lead as Thorley shot past Mannone from a long ball. The task was then made even harder as captain Randall, who didn’t have the best of games was sent off for a bad tackle. Arsenal didn’t seem very affected by the numerical disadvantage and equalised through a deflected shot from Wilshere. Eduardo thought he had ensured the win when he rounded the keeper but it was ruled out for offside.
